VinAI Shines at ICCV 2023: A Journey into Cutting-Edge AI Research

The year 2023 marked a remarkable milestone for VinAI, as we made a significant impact at the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV) and proudly sponsored the fourth workshop in the JRDB series.

Our team of experts was at the heart of ICCV, sharing their groundbreaking research. Here are a couple of highlights from our poster presentations:

POSTER #004, Thanh Le showcased his works in POSTER #004 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, October 4th. The venue was none other than the Room Foyer Sud at the Paris Convention Center, Porte de Versailles in Paris, France.

“Quan and I were thrilled to attend the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV) as the primary authors of a paper. As we gazed around the bustling Paris convention center, we couldn’t help but be awed by the conference’s scale and prestige. Authors hailing from institutions and companies worldwide had gathered to showcase their latest research in the field of computer vision. When the results were announced, we felt immense pride seeing that VinAI Research, our company, was the sole representative from Vietnam with two papers accepted for the conference. It was a great honor to represent both our country and our workplace at this highly competitive international gathering of leading minds in artificial intelligence. As I collected my name badge and conference materials, a smile of accomplishment spread across my face, recognizing the immense effort our team had put into achieving positive results and crafting our paper.”

POSTER #021 was delivered by Khoi Nguyen from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm on Friday, October 6th. Like Thanh Le, Khoi also took the stage at the Room Foyer Sud, Paris Convention Center.

The JRDB Workshop

The JRDB workshop was an immersive experience into the challenges faced by autonomous robots operating in human environments. From human detection and tracking to forecasting, body pose estimation, social grouping, and activity recognition, VinAI was at the forefront of these exciting discussions. We covered it all!

What’s more, the JRDB workshop introduced a brand-new competition that dared participants to craft models capable of predicting human trajectories with precision, using the JRDB dataset. The competition promised innovation and excellence in the field.

OpenSUN 3D Workshop

VinAI wasn’t confined to just one arena. We also showcased our expertise at the OpenSUN 3D Workshop, which took place at the Paris Convention Center. It was the 1st Workshop on Open-Vocabulary 3D Scene Understanding (OpenSUN3D). The event was held in Room E06 on October 3rd. This was another opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI research.
